Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how fyplab ("fyplab," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the fyplab mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
fyplab is operated by Michael Ly, based in Ontario, Canada. For any privacy questions, contact us at support@fyplab.app.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create and manage your account. If you use Apple's private email relay, we receive only the relay address.
Content you provide. When you use the App, you paste links to short-form videos. We process the video's publicly available transcript and generate analyses (virality and hook scores, breakdowns, and remixed scripts). We store these analyses, along with the onboarding preferences you select (such as your target platform, niche, and experience level), so you can access your history.
Subscription information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive your subscription status (active, trial, expired) and tier to provide access to paid features.
What we do not collect. We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We do not sell your personal information.
How we use your information
We use your information to: create and maintain your account; provide the App's core features (transcript extraction, analysis, and remix); save and display your analysis history; manage your subscription and enforce usage limits; respond to support requests; and maintain the security and reliability of the App.
Third-party services
To operate the App, we share limited data with the following service providers, who process it only to perform services for us:
- Apple(authentication and subscription billing). See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google(authentication, if you choose Google Sign-In). See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase(secure database, authentication, and backend hosting for your account and analyses). See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Supadata(transcript extraction from the video links you provide). See Supadata's Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic(AI processing that generates breakdowns and remixed scripts from transcripts). Data sent for processing is not used to train their models under our API terms. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
We share only the data necessary for each service to perform its function.
Data retention
We retain your account information and analysis history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to request a copy of your data. You can delete your account and associated data from within the App, or by contacting us at support@fyplab.app. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, secure authentication, and access controls that restrict data to your own account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
We operate from Canada, and your information may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and material changes will be communicated within the App or by email where appropriate.
